For the past week I have been having issues with loss of internet, the connection light on the router is not on indicating no connection, when I do a test through sky it comes back all ok and connected which it clearly isn't, not sure how reliable this is? Given the responses. Have powered down and disconnected/reconnected purple lead it does not reset but connection does come back after a while. When the router reset connection I had to re set up connections to the router.

Find out more@Squibby1 When using the service checker and it comes back all good that is historical data and you need to run a broadband test which is done by clicking through on broadband on the service checker page with the little house in the background.
