Looking to switch to Sky but have a problem

Hi I'm new here I'm currently in contract with BT but have had loads of issues with full fibre broadband connection, had numerous engineers out unable to fix it, recently had one out last Thursday he replaced the optical cable but damaged the ONT when he was replacing it, I have reported this again and Openreach are refusing to come out and fix it and are giving BT false reports, I'm not wanting to cancel my contract (minimum terms have been removed by a moderator on BT community) I've been wanting to join Sky for a while now as I feel the tv packages are far superior but if I go with the ultrafast broadband, will Sky be able to get Openreach out to fix the ONT, I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place as I don't want to go into a new contract with you guys only for Openreach to refuse to replace the ONT

Regards

Shaun

It is better to get faults fixed before transferring to a new provider as the fault will only follow one to the new provider.

Sky is a BT Openreach infrastructure provider so you may have the same issue with any provider on that network with reference to the ONT fault, suggest that if you do switch to Sky one explains the situation fully to Sky on the phone when switching.

Re: Looking to switch to Sky but have a problem

@mae-3 I am aware of that, the ONT is faulty though so they should be replacing it my contract with BT is getting cancelled regardless, I may have to go with a normal broadband package worst case scenario
