Re: Looking to get fibre
@Sulster06 You can order online at Sky.com or ring Sky. We are customers like you on here.
In my experience I would say don't go with Sky as they are the worst ISP I've had but it's your choice and we all have different experiences!

Re: Looking to get fibre
An FTTP connection cannot over-ride the fundamental limitations of wireless propagation in a challenging environment.
If it's in the UK, putting the address into the BT Wholesale Availability Checker should indicate which broadband provisioning type is available.
https://www.broadbandchecker.btwholesale.com/#/ADSL/AddressHome
It's the table and the two text lines below it which are most useful.
Remove any personal information (such as the address itself) if you post an image.
BT Halo 3+ Ultrafast FTTP (500Mbs), BT Smart Hub 2

Re: Looking to get fibre
@JimM1 Vodafone. I moved to them last October after terminating my Sky Broadband contract early (without penalty) due to their failure to meet the guaranteed speed. Sky's speed was the slowest of any provider I've had. No regrets switching over, my guaranteed speed has doubled and I only pay a couple of quid more to Vodafone than I did to Sky each month. Well worth it.
As I said, I appreciate everyone's experience is different. I'm sure there are people that think Sky are the best and I wouldn't argue with them. It just wasn't my experience sadly. Sky just failed for me.

Re: Looking to get fibre
@Anonymous It's whatever works best and no problem, fully understand!👍 OR pretty sure routing me well currently and have a Londoner IP currently although good 450 miles north in the Bonnie country, smooth as a babies bum at present and no intentions otherwise unless Sky drop the wan and my Asus get's a local IP again.
Upload could be better but download is just so smooth.

Re: Looking to get fibre
@JimM1 I didn't think you were having a go. As a Yorkshireman we're known for calling a spade a spade and not a soil redistribution tool! I'm just being honest about my Sky Broadband experience.
Their moving home service was very good when I moved last August - I can't fault them for that or their overall customer service but sadly the one thing I needed - fast broadband wasn't something they could do for me for some reason. To give them further credit, it was them who emailed me to say because the speed was below the guaranteed speed across a certain period I could terminate my contract penalty free.
