Laptop not connecting to extender pod

Hi,

struggling to get laptop to connect to extender pod on sky max. Keeps just picking up the sky max hub but then keeps dropping internet and getting poor signal. 
Have restarted laptop numerous times, reset WiFi on laptop and still won't connect to pod even though other devices are connecting to the extended pod when in same room as laptop.
