LG TV apps won’t updated when connected to sky internet.

Also got this issue - can someone confirm the steps needed to resolve ?  Is it a call with Sky ?

@Jonathan4  @Catherine73  - how did you resolve this - got the same issue. We dont have phone signal at our house either so cant tether to phone hotpot.

Hi, I didn't actually do anything to resolve it, everything I tried didn't work and I tried literally everything I could find. It eventually just started updating the apps by itself, so unfortunately I can't help.

I have just had sky broadband installed and got a new TV. I ran into the same issue. The apps would update if connected to my Phone via hotspot. How do I connect to get this issue resolved?

Hi, I am also experiencing this issue. I am able to update apps through hotspotting from phone but not from Sky wifi. What was the work around in the end?

Hello, I have the same issue with my LG tv. Cant update apps. BBC iPlayer and U drama, do not work. ITV x is ok and 5 can't install. So not able to watch what I want on my tv.

ive tried to check connection on the sky website but this service is down. I have tried to turn off the sky broadband shield and it says please try again. This is rubbish. I am new to sky, switched from virgin and I think I'll cancel sky because of the problems.

Hi. Just to give an update on my situation, as with the member before mine just began working suddenly with no changes my side. I'd say maybe aged a week this happened.

Glad I found this thread. LG G4 Oled failing to update apps. Full reset more than once with no joy. Rebooting my Sky hub made no difference either. Connecting by Ethernet then Wi-Fi similarly fruitless. Tethering to my phone hotspot has done the trick. Cheers.
