Just moved in fully and strange WiFi issues.
I got Sky broadband install in February and everything was working fine. The wife has been working from home without any issues.
I have now fully moved into the house and I am unable to connect my PC or Xbox to the WiFi.
I sometimes connect and it will give me a speed of 1.3 Mbps.
I have the white Sky router which has been working fine.

Re: Just moved in fully and strange WiFi issues.
What broadband package is your partner on ? You may need to upgrade to a higher speed and don't forget that the speed you are getting in the package is what the hub receives the more you have connected to the broadband the weaker the signal to each device also wifi is not the best and most reliable solution, if you can an ethernet cable is better, fellow sky customer, 55inch sky glass gen 1, 55inch sky glass gen 2 lg tv puck, 3 alexers, Xbox p c, laptop, tablet, sky live camera, 3 mobile phones, and gigafast broadband 900mps, also you could ask sky for the pods to place around the house to help boost the signal

Re: Just moved in fully and strange WiFi issues.
If you have a smart tv and have Netflix then go to the help on Netflix open it and do the check my network and see what speed your tv is getting in each room you have one in and at the same time have some other things connected to the Internet to get a true reading

Re: Just moved in fully and strange WiFi issues.
You see the issue with that is that I am using two devices that I am not using Netflix on.
I got 1.3 Mbps on multiple tests on the two devices.
I am currently posting this via my phone in the same spot and everything is fine with that device.

Re: Just moved in fully and strange WiFi issues.
Did you call them up and say ? Was it straight forward ??
I can install an extender tomorrow and wait until the house gets renovated before sinking in some network cables to each room in the house.

Re: Just moved in fully and strange WiFi issues.
Currently I am streaming some UHD stuff and I just did a speed test in the living room.
I am getting 450 Mbps.
If I go upstairs and turn on my PC and do a test I get 1.3 Mbps. It also sometimes fails to run.
If I start my Xbox it's real slow it terms of basic speed.
I was with VM before this and I could get WiFi across my old house without any issues.

I just looked into that and it looks like I will be paying more. I really do want to pay anything more.

Re: Just moved in fully and strange WiFi issues.
@Ayallogue we all want to pay thecabdolute minimum but to get decent wifi coverage in every room you need morecthan a single Sky hub
Poor WiFi coverage is probably the most common question we get in the forum. In many homes a single Sky hub cannot provide a usable wifi signal in every room due to the layout and type of construction of the property especially in older homes. Assuming the hub is in the best possible position which is out in the open on a surfsce then the only answer is additional wifi sources.
Your choice.is to either buy Sky's add-on WiFi Max bundle which can supply up to 3 extenders see https://www.sky.com/help/articles/sky-wifi-max or buy your own wifi system and use that instead of the Sky hub's WiFi.
65inch Sky Glass, 3 Sky Streaming Pucks, Sky Ultrafast + and Sky SR213(white Wifi Max hub) main Wifi from 3 TP-Link Deco M4 units in access point mode

Re: Just moved in fully and strange WiFi issues.
The previous router that was owned by the previous owner worked perfectly. 🤔
Just an update....
I installed a simple WiFi extender and it has resolved all my issues.
It seems that Sky routers are not like the rest.
Before WiFi extender....
1.3 Mbps
After
516 Mbps 😂
