Just joined sky and no wifi

Literally got my broadband activated today at 1pm. Got home at around 7 and it was working, then it died an hour later and that was it. No wifi, no helpline past 9pm and no solutions anywhere. I've restarted the router and unplugged it for over 30 seconds (after restarting it did nothing), and nothing. All lights are green and when I do the check on their app it says all good LOL. I have to do the damn test on 4G cause the wifi is non-existent yet the app says all is working. Worst broadband experience so far. Waited 5 days to get it activated for it to stop working on the first day. Truly awaful

Does anyone know how to resolve this? I've seen many comments sayinf sky is terrible, wondering if I should get out of the contract now since I just joined.

@Michis2 if all of the lights on the hub are green your service is connected. Check that your devices are connecting to the Sky hub. If they are and you still cannot connect to a simplecsite like bbc.co.uk call Sky when their lines open from 7am

Like any ISP Sky can have faults but overalll they rate quite highly and have a very low complaint score according to Ofcom

Re: Just joined sky and no wifi

Thank you! All the lights are on but and you can connect to the wifi but it has no internet connection. Tried phone, ipad and tv and nothing works. Not even google maps loads. There is clearly no internet. Will call them now and see...

Re: Just joined sky and no wifi

New hubs usually up update their firmware during the first couple of hours. I wonder if that didnt quite go right and messed some settings up. A hub reset might be worth a try. What did Sky say out of interest?
