Just had full fibre fitted but the wifi doesn't work outside

Trying to get WiFi in our home bar area in the garden .was told if we change to full fibre it would work but it as not.

Unfortunately that was inappropriate advice: while FTTP speed to the Hub will be much faster, it cannot improve wireless range or provide coverage to places not previously reached.

Depending on range and line of sight you might consider an internal wireless access point, an external (weatherproof) unit, Powerline networking or ethernet cable.
