Joining sky broardband

My parents are currently with Now for there telephone and broadband.  They want to leave and join sky broadband and phone  due to their router no longer being covered by security.  They are old and easily confused but the move seems extremely difficult.

To switch from NOW broadband over to Sky broadband, you will need to call Sky.

I was in the same situation about 9 months ago, and because Sky and NOW broadband are essentially the same thing, when you try to switch online, it will detect that your current provider is Sky Broadband and therefore not allow you to switch online.

@Mike384 And it will be in this time and age for all the transitions.

1. With elderly line moves to digital control may even be new Fibre only you or the address determines that. Any alert systems not having a mobile, able to contact emergency services are all RED flags, those should be an INSTANT NO at present no matter what....

2. Digital phone landline connections those are no way as reliable as the old telephone side, so not even sure how the NOW system is connected at present or where the phone line is plugged into, but can imagine standard OR Master phone socket connected for everything.

3. The Now to Sky is not a simple change even though sky are the now parent company, poaching customers is a NO NO from each other.

Link to the BT and OR fibre checker, just use the address and go check what is current or even present just now. If you do decide to post it up for viewing then hide anything like address etc. Will watch if you should wish to reply.
