On WiFi connection at home and it's been more than 3 hours

Thanks @Daniel0210. I have checked the status and it says "There's an outage in your area: We're working on getting you back up and running. It usually takes a couple of days to fix things like this but might be sooner."

Okay, that means Openreach should already be on the case.


The below link explains the Ofcom agreed auto compensation scheme which Sky operates for when there is a TOTAL loss of Sky Broadband or Sky Talk.

If you have a total loss of service and it isn’t fixed after two full WORKING days from when the fault is first reported to Sky, you will become eligible for it. It’s applied 30 days after the fault has been repaired and will come in the form of a credit appearing on your Sky account (new rates from 01/04/24).

Well there is your answer then. Its unlikely for an area fault to be fixed within 3hrs and as the message says it could take a few days, it completely depends on how bad the problem is and how much resource Openreach dedicate to fix it.
