Issues with connection in the evening after starting a new contract
We recently took out a new contract with sky we thought everything would be kept the same. Never had any issues with either the streaming box or the broadband. Since starting the new contract around 8pm every night our internet connection has been terrible taking ages to download things on an xbox game and also videos on youtube stopping all together, not playing smoothly and losing connection. There is only myself and my partner in the household so it's not as if there's a lot of people connected to the WiFi overloading it. Were meant to have the super fast broadband, whenever we're having problems with it when I check it on the app it says that connection is okay but it's nowhere near as good as it was prior to renewal.

This is exactly what is happening to us. Everything is buffering and not loading properly since cancellig sky TV but renewing our broadband contract

Are you still in your cooling off period?
If you are, make moves to cancel and make sure you have a clear record of this.
If Sky say they can fix the problem make sure you both agree to an extension of this period.
If you are past your cooling off then start to collect as much evidence as you can of poor performance because Sky will try to force you to complete your contact.
