Issue connecting Eufy C31 doorbell to Sky Hub 4.2 wifi

Hello - have seen the other posts on this. I'm on a separate 2.4GHz channel with WPA2-PSK (AES) and have also tried WPA/WPA2-PSK (Mixed Mode). I've installed the Eufy app on two phones, I've reset and power cycled the doorbell and the router all with no luck.

I got through to Eufy support. They told me that there is a known compatibility issue with Eufy and Sky routers and they sent me an email to send to Sky to change the settings on the router to fix the problem. Eventually got through to Sky support and they told me that they don't accept emails :(.  Here is an excerpt of the email that Eufy sent me. I've obscured the numbers in case that is a problem on this forum.

Verify your firewall settings to ensure there are no special restrictions for the device. You can do this on your router's official website. The audio and video communication uses P2P (Peer-to-Peer) technology, which may trigger the firewall mechanism of the router. To avoid issues, set the following P2P Hole Punching server IPs to the allowlist: XX.YYY.Z.QQQ, YY.XXX.ZZZ.FFF, RR.XXX.EEE.T. Ensure these ports are allowed: TCP: XX, YY; UDP: 0-ZZZZZ

I've logged into 192.168.0.1. From this excerpt I'm guessing that the answer is in Security-Firewall Rules and I've found the firewall settings.

On this page I can turn off the firewall but I don't want to do that.

There are outbound services which are set to ALLOW always and inbound services that are set to BLOCK always.

So I click to add a new inbound service that I can allow. I suspect that I need to enter the information from the Eufy email in here but I have completely lost my nerve! Can anyone advise me on whether I'm on the right lines or whether I should just give up and send back the doorbell. Thanks as always AdrianH68

@AdrianH68 do not disble your Sky hubs firewall as that is extremly risky. Never heard of a specific issue with a doorbell. You can however set up port forwarding which opens allows traffic from outside your network to contact your doorbell if they use the port numbersxstated. This link explains the steps you need https://helpforum.sky.com/t5/Broadband-Talk/How-to-set-up-port-forwarding/ba-p/2662260

Hello Chrisee thanks for pointing me to that link. I've tried following the instructions and they haven't worked the first time but I will  persevere - I suspect that I've just put some of the right numbers into the wrong boxes and vice versa! I'm away from home now for a few days - I'll try again when I get back and let you know how I get on. cheers AdrianH68 🙂
