My Sky broadband contract ends 10th Apr. 2025, and I aim to switch to another provider. If the switch happens before the contract end date of 10th Apr, does an early termination charge apply, or is there a grace period where the ETC is not charged? I vaguely remember there being a grace period in the past with broadband contracts.

Thanks for that. Have contacted customer services and was advised that my contract is currently showing ETC is at zero, so guess that answers my question. Thanks for your reply.

@AMP66 Sky will charge early exit charges up until the fixed term complete unless they have notified you of a price increase ( Sky apply an annual increase every April) within the next 30 days when those charges are waved during that 30 day period so you can switch without being charged. Once the fixed term finishes the contract switches to a rolling 14cday contract again you can switch without charges.
If switching to any other supplier whether fixed using the Openreach network or not do not cancel with Sky yourself as it messes up the one touch switching service. Some ISPs will pay some or all of an early exit fee Sky do this paying up to £100 on proof of tge final invoice.
