Is Sky Internet Down Forest Hill Area

My sky Internet is down. All checks on sky say ok and connected to router but no Internet? Is anyone else having this issue in South London

I'm with you. Sky claims it's fine and that my devices are connected to WiFi despite them being on 5G and being unable to connect.

It seems as they're not aware of their own issues.

Also down in Forest Hill tonight, looks like it's successfully authenticated the connection but with no connection. This occasionally happens if Openreach or Sky are doing maintenance work, had it happen twice before (though usually later into the night) and both times it recovered before the next morning. Hoping same is true today

Yes, since approx. midnight no Internet in Forest Hill.

JUST signed up for this reason – I'm in Sydenham and everything just cut out. Router has green lights for power and WiFi, Orange for internet and phone. Website says no known issues?

Mine has now resolved itself and is working again. Seems as though it may have been down to Sky doing maintenance, just wish they'd update their systems to inform customers!

When there are issues between midnight and 7am it's quite possibly going to be essential overnight maintenance taking place which is carried out then to minimise disruption as most customers are asleep.

Sky / Openreach do not forewarn customers of this as they have no idea how long it'll last, or how many customers are likely to be affected.

Thank you for your message, however, it would be useful if their status checker was updated so that customers could check issues in their area at the time it's happening rather than being told the problem is with our personal equipment and leaving us hanging for hours (nobody expects personal correspondence).

@DB86 while that would help it is practically impossible. A lot of maintenance work affects a relatively small number of lines and Openreach dont warn their customers the Telcos like Sky which of their customers will be affected in advance. Given the work is done in the early hourscthe vast majority of customers are asleep a system to warn the few who are awake would be very expensive. Sky's systems only do put up warnings when major network outages are planned.
