I use a camera security system which I connect to via an app. I'm currently away from home and can't access my cameras, someone has suggested it's because sky will have changed my IP address and so the app stops working. Any ideas on how I can remedy would be appreciated

The solution is to use a Dynamic DNS service. Check with your camera supplier as to which services their software supports. Your Sky hub supports three namely dyndns.org, noip.com and dyns.cx. Choose a service that appears on both lists and set up an account. Then enter the account details in the Advanced/Dynamic DNS page of hub's interface. Then when the IP address changes the hub tells the service which then tells the camera app when you connect.

Hi, thanks for the reply, the camera service, xprotect, does use dyndns.org but I still seem to have these issues now and again

Sky stopped issuing static IP addresses years ago. Other ISPs still do if asked I believe Zen do but check.
