Internet not working and Sky not answering

Hello,

I'm currently stuck at what to do. Since last night, the wifi on my laptop keeps cutting off. It stays off for a few minutes, comes back on for a couple of minutes, then goes back off. Rinse and repeat etc. It is also not recognising that I have an Ethernet cable hard wired in (I have an RJ45 electrical tester and the cable is working perfectly fine).

I have tried calling the helpline number (0333 759 4830) but it says they're having technical issues so cannot take any calls then it hangs up.

I'm currently paying £93 a month for the basic TV package and the "best" internet package I can currently get in my area (which gives me on average 30mbps which is horrendous).

I currently have spotty internet constantly going on and off and no phone line to ring to get an engineer out. Does anyone have any suggestions please?

TIA,

Reece

The lines to Customer Services are down at present due to the mass I.T. issue worldwide. When they are back up and running they will obviously be extremely busy.

Hello Daniel,

Thank you for your reply, I wasn't aware about any world wide IT issue.

My obvious gripe is I'm paying money for a, currently, non existent service. No internet, no one to call to fix it, but my Sky bill will remain the same? No contact what so ever to give a rough timescale of how long it will be down for etc. I keep doing the local area checker as well as a wifi check online and there's apparently no issues but there definitely is.

Compensation applies after two days of outage, because that's the Openreach target time to fix (although they don't do domestic broadband support over weekends)
