Internet modem making high pitched annoying whistle

My Internet modem is making a constant high pitched whistle like a kettle, jad anybody had this problem and how to fix?

@Mike183 I have seen a few similar issues in the past but it isnt a common issue the sound is probably being produced by an electronic component innthe hub. Sky will probably replace the hub if asked.

I am also having this issue - new router just arrived and it's got a constant pitch in the background.

Have got the same issues with what I think is the router, intermittent every ten mins sounds like radiator being bled or wind ! Everything works fine only electrical unit in the same area is an extension eight pin block.

@Stevo16 as posted above ask Sky to replace the unit if it causes you an issue - people's sensitivity level vary.
