Hi. I am currently helping an older family member update/upgrade their Sky.
I've noticed that as soon as the land line rings (Sky Talk) the Broadband/Wifi (Sky Broadband) cuts out completely and it takes about 2-3 minutes (after you hang up the phone) until the wifi is back on working. Apparently that's always been the case so it's not a new issue but it really shouldn't be this way and I want to do something about it!
I've read it has something about only one line and missing filters or so but I really don't understand what that means. Can someone help explain or is this even something that Sky can directly help with ?
I've attached two photos. The first one is the main plug to the landline in the front room and the other photo are the connections I found in the living room underneath the hub/router.
I'd appreciate any help! Thank you!

So the main one needs to be Phone socket > Microfilter > Telephone & the other one needs to be Phone socket > Microfilter > Router

Ideally your family member needs to get Sky to fit a prefiltered master socket which simplifies things greatly as it removes the need for line filters. The hub connects to a dedicated socket leaving phone points for phones.
Lacking that you need a filtered splitter that plugs into the phone socket and has a dedicated connecter for the hub and a second one for a phone. Phones plugged into other phone sockets will also require filters. If stuck get new filters theybare cheap, enough and easily available in DIY stores and even big supermarkets.

Thanks! I do have a spare microfilter from
sky here. So I can use that filter for the main socket and just plug in the phone right? The Sky hub is comnected in a different room (as seen on picture 2) and can stay connected that way, right ?

Thank you so much! Will get to their home today and try. Will everything be working the same once I added the microfilter to the main socket or do I have to change / reinstall the connection or hub afterwards ? Cheers.

Thank you so much for this. Picture was really helpful - saw splitters mentioned in other posts but didn't have a clue what they were. Internet now works when phone rings!
