Internet (TX) drops every day at exactly midnight
Internet (TX) drops every day at exactly midnight.
last about 1 min
weird thing is, that when i am on discord or i can still hear and see everyone but they cannot see or hear me anymore.
the annoying part is that my vpn and server connections drop every time it happens, anything that is ucing TCP disconnects, UDP seems to be not impact, but if it is TX only that would make sense.

Re: Internet (TX) drops every day at exactly midnight
1 minute seems a long time for the drop, how fast is the computer you are using it is designed to synchronise traffic at midnight and should only take a millisecond to synchronise, the model is small in size and does the validation. 😉
Zen internet on FTTP (900Mbps down, 100Mbps up). SAT> IP (Apple 4K 2nd gen TV to LG C1 OLED UHD TV/Dolby Atmos Denon AVR, DacMagic Plus for Hi-Res audio), hosting own blog/forum (cluster), OPNsense & Zenarmor L4/L7 NGFW & DPI IDS/IPS, Asus ET12 Pro Tri-Band wifi, Linux, Gamer: Xbox Series X/i7 laptop, round-robin DNS over HTTPS, non-proprietary VoIP HD AMR-WB (G.722.2) and more... Beta tester Apple iOS/watchOS/tvOS/iPadOS/macOS.

Re: Internet (TX) drops every day at exactly midnight
hey, thank you for your response
i'd be surprised if it is the PC, it is a 2022 build, 5950x ( 16 core ) and 64GB of Ram ( 3200 Mhz bus speed ) and i am connected via Cat6, about 6 feet from from the router. I have installed all the latest Windows 11 updates.
I am used to profile syncs somewhere in the middle of the night ( 3-4am ) but I will see that on my hub, this is different, if i am connected to any server ( games ) or ssh, etc it times me out or disconnects me.
Discord itself shows the splash screen of trying to reconnect .. but i can still here people in the call when that happens, but that is normal, since Voice and video in discord use UDP, so I can still recieve, just not send.
It is definatly more then a millisecond, i'll try to run a prometheus scraper to see how long it exactly is, i'll also verify this on other devices when it happens

Re: Internet (TX) drops every day at exactly midnight
There is a Ryzen microcode vulnerability issue on the microprocessor which needs patching.
