Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@MrBp The SR203 is a modem router which can be used on services over copper where the modem stage is used or full fibre services where tge modem is bypassed - the fibre ONT unit fulfills the modem function. Instead you connect to an ethernet port thst is programmed to accept WAN traffic - WAN is wiidecarea network which is the traffic from the internet, LAN is local area network.
No idea whats wrong but @Addie15 knows her stuff.

@Chrisee so with the modem being "disconnected" would that suggest the router is disconnected from the ONT?
I have rebooted so am back online now and the modem is now connected,
Sorry for the questions. Just want to get it sorted

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@MrBp forget about "modems" they are irrelevant for full fibre the key thing is the WAN port and the hub having a valid public IP address which you can see on the hub's interface. You can check the status of the line on the ONT - green leds good, red bad.
Not sure but the overnight disconnection could be caused by a reset of your connection well 🤞

@Chrisee ah OK. Sorry I imagined the ONT to be the modem. And read the data as My router had disconnected from the ONT.
All lights on the the ONT appear to be normal.
There does appear to be a pattern forming. Last 3 weeks it had been a Sunday and a Wednesday night. Sometimes evening sometimes early morning. But all been wed or Sun,
Really hope sky Will pull there finger out,

I have the exact same issue here...
07 Sep 2023 09:34 AM
@pgonnella have you had any joy resolving? The network team are apparently 100% sure it is a device attempting to connect by failing.

can't be a coincidence that this usually happens on a Wed or Sun early morning for me too.

same here ONT PON light is green when this happens.

I may have solved it. I have alot of WiFi devices connected to the router (sometimes over 25).
This is advised as too many for the basic sky router, so it might be possible that the router is being strained at those times and causing it to shut down.
Have you got a large number of devices?
08 Sep 2023 09:59 AM
I have reduced the number of devices connected directly to the router by using the mesh system they originally claimed was the problem.
Monitoring to see if I have any drops

Not connected to the sky router directly, one device Unifi UDR via ethernet which is the AP. Alas double NAT'd but that's fine. It is definitely an Authentication issue in my humble opinion.

a new firmware 7.03.0300.R got pushed to my router last night, let's see how that goes.

So far mine has been ok since I removed most of My devices, although previously It was very irregular, so im leaving it for a good few weeks before i accept its fixed.
I only have about 6 wifi devices connected now. Not ideal for me but if it cures the issue I will look into alternative solution. Maybe a better router.

@Addie15 could you please re initiate the chat. The problem is still current. Connection dropped this evening.
