Installation of equipment

I currently have FTTP via County Broadband. It was over £50 per month so I am switching to Sky at £25 per month. I don't understand why an engineer needs to do this? As a listed property no equipment can be attached to the outside of the building. The ONT is hidden under the decking, I don't want to take the decking up and I doubt the engineer would be willing to anyway.
Currently the cable comes into the house via the air outlet.
im wondering if I should cancel the contract although I'm sure that will prove impossible

Re: Installation of equipment

Looks like the network partnet is City Fibre, which is also a Sky network provider, however, it may be that the network provider for your area is Openreach, so the ONT would need to be changed.

Sky Full Fibre & Virgin Media XGS-PON, with automatic failover using DrayTek multi WAN router.
Sky Q, which will be sadly missed when they decide to kill it off!
