Inconsistand wifi speeds with 500mb broadband
Evening all,
Since having 500mb internet put in, the wifi speeds i get are now very inconsistant. Sometimes i can get 450+, other times ut can be as low as 50mb. When i had my internet on sky copper, i would get a constant 142mb.
Any advise would be superb.
Thanks
Mike

@SeanDowns All i can say is the Fibre connection is pretty rock solid, and yes the speeds rise and fall mainly during peak times, lowest sustained so far on my FF500 connection is 200Mb/s, 1 year in now on Fibre and really zero problems at all!

Re: Inconsistand wifi speeds with 500mb broadband
@SeanDowns while there can be a reduction in the speed to your hub at peak times with full fibre that should be no more than a reduction to around 400Mb/s however note that speeds to devices networked using WiFi often are impacted by the WiFi signal level in the room they are in not to mention interferencecfrom neighbours' netwirks, electrical kit etc etc WiFi speeds tell you litlle about the speed to the hub.
