If you Max with old name and password does it recognise older kit
Reading keeping the same SSID and password takes time, But ! Does it help connect older WiFi in the house please ? Or makes no difference!

Using the previous SSID and password means you don't have to change those on client devices.
They may still struggle with the default WPA3 encryption though.
