I have just upgraded to gigafast fibre and have the black sky hub, I would like to know if this is the best one available or is the white one?

A black Sky Broadband Hub is WiFi 5 (802.11ac) with WPA2, while the Max Hub is WiFi 6 (802.11ax) with WPA3.

Hi, just spoken to a sky agent, I didn't realize the white hub was for sky glass/stream service so as I have Q, I currently have the best hub .
Thanks for your reply

That's not entirely correct: it's more accurate to say that Sky won't currently supply a Max Hub to households with Q television using Mini boxes because there are apparently unresolved issues between the rather antique 'Q mesh' and the much more modern Plume technology in Max.

I've just 'Upgraded to Sky Max white hub' and I have Sky Q but I believe your right about the compatibility with the sky Q boxes. I have had numerous 'error' messages throughout the 2 weeks I've had it. I had no trouble at all with my previous Black router. I'm asking sky to go back to my previous router I couldn't stand another reset.😔

The posts above are nine months old and now rather out of date: Sky will supply Max at addresses with a full complement of Q television hardware.
Your issue may be that unlike a Q Hub or Sky Broadband Hub, a Max Hub doesn't generate a 'Q mesh' signal, and so your Mini boxes are only linking to the main Q box.
