I won't be home when activation hub arrives

I see some old posts similar to this topic, but I didn't see a definitive answer. Plus they're a bit out of date so I'm looking for recent experiences.

 

We're moving home and no one will be at the new home for the few days before our broadband activation date. I'd prefer to not change the activation date to avoid living in the new place for ~3 days without Internet. We work from home.

 

I understand the courier will require a signature. If we're not home, what happens next? Will we need to collect it at a depot or re-schedule the delivery?

You will need to collect it from the local PO. If you dont collect it in a set amount of days its usually returned to the sender (Sky)

You will need to collect it from the local PO. If you dont collect it in a set amount of days its usually returned to the sender (Sky)

I think worst case scenario it would take me a week to pick it up since I'm currently living far away from the new address.

 

Any idea how long the local PO will keep it?

According to the RM site they say 18 days
