@completelocks  Which router do you have from the link below. If it is the Sky broadband Hub then you use admin and the Wi-Fi password.

Try to access using a device connected via an ethernet cable, failing that if you're using an iPhone trying using a different browser rather an Safari.

OK done, logged in.

My ideas on for wanting to get to this point is that some of my alexa plugs won't see my WiFi as it is 5ghz. What am I looking for to change it so they will see it thus connect?

So, I followed the link, split the 5 and the 2.4 then gave one the SSID same name but with 5g on the end  So now I can connect my plugs to the 2.4 one. Now I have to have everything connected to the 2.4 one or it won't talk to my plug, as it is on a different network... Why is this???

@Wilsuzno1  Depending on the router that Sky supplied you with for your broadband. The login information can be found in the picture below.

Re: I want to login to my Sky hub to change the bandwidth down to 2.4Ghzso I can activate my smart p

Sky have removed the option to split 2.5ghz and 5ghz.

The only war around this now is to manually separate 2.5 and 5 band widths.

If you make changes to your SSID's, you'll need to reconnect your devices to the WiFi band where those changes have been made.

  • Type 192.168.0.1 into your browser.
  • Select the WiFi tab
  • Enter the login details that apply to your Sky Hub
  • see the image below - your username and password are case sensitive
  • Scroll down and untick the ‘Synchronise 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz Settings’ box
  • To help identify the two WiFi bands, edit one of the SSID's to make it identifiable
  • for example, SKYXXXXX5GHz
  • each WiFi band has its own sub-menu where you can make the change
  • If you make this change, your hub will generate two SSID's and each device will need to be reconnected to whichever changes have been made to.
  • Select Apply
  • Once changes been made ensure both 2.5ghz and 5ghz tick Synchronise 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz Settings
