I'm doing initial set up of a new router in our new house, but it's not getting internet

I too have had a similar issue: I have anxiety issues with calling companies, and currently suffering with mild-medium depression, so haven't had the confidence to say (other via the internet...well, my mobile data) 'I don't have interent connection!' 

I moved into my new house the last week of August, and because I'm walking on floorboards and trying to decorate the house, it's been weeks since my activation date and no internet still. My fault okay, but not my fault in a way...  😞   I've tried connecting the router upstairs and down, and changed the microfilters around twice now, and still no success. Can anyone help...? Many thanks if possible!
