I’ve just paid my bill and all the lights on my box went off. I wanna turn them back on. It’s in red

my Wi-Fi is not working after I paid the bill all the lights went off on the box and when I turned the switch off and back on the lights come back on but one remained red. I've just done a check through my online account and they said there is no issues in my area and my Internet should be working my broadband however it is not working and I haven't touched the router the box or the connection All I did was pay my bill and all the lights went

Was that an unnecessary manual payment? 

The T's and C's state you should have a direct debit or continuous card payment method set up. You therefore never need to make a manual payment. Sky will try to take payment from methods they hold on their records. Once the original planned payment has been processed a credit should appear on your Sky account for the amount you have overpaid.

 

This should automatically be used to pay your next bill so on that bill date no/less money should be taken from your account. I would suggest NOT making any manual payments unless requested to by Sky.

In view of the time you posted, if you have broadband issues between midnight and 0700 it’s likely to be essential overnight maintenance taking place which is carried out then to minimise disruption. There’s no pre-warning of this. See the pinned post at the top of the Broadband board from Sky
