We upgraded to the new full fibre after having a few problems with the wifi. We were told it would be all singing, all dancing and would notice the difference but it's probably worse than before. Rarely going above 45.

When gaming you should be using an ethernet cable & if you are wanting to take advantage of the high speeds over WiFi you'd be best off purchasing a 3rd party mesh solution.

So in a home with multiple users some of whom are keen gamers buying an Asus router and mesh satellites would be sensible but pricy option. Alternatively if your usage needs are less demanding say with 2 users playing a few casual games and streaming video my own set up of 3 Deco units running in access point mode behind a Sky hub cost me under £100 but gives me 200Mb/s in every room of a three level home.
