I recently transferred broadband to sky and have been charged a cancellation fee at BT- how do I get this reimbursed? I was told I would receive an email to explain?

My link in the post immediately above yours explains but you won't get that much. It's a maximum of £100 for TV and £100 for Broadband.

You don't: realistically that's considerably more than Sky would be making in profit from a broadband subscription during its initial minimum term, particularly on a discounted price. No ISP can afford to pay anything like that much to encourage switching.

If you were assured of that without any caveats such as the maximum amount of credit available then you may have a case for claiming misselling: you'll need to request that Sky reviews the call recording/ chat log.
