I need to get wifi to my garden room but the TP link I have does not work

I have the router out in the open and a tp link plugged in the same room but still cannot get a consistent wifi connection to the end of my garden - connects briefly then drops out

@rachet by TP-Link do you mean a powerline adapter that communicates with a second adapter in the garden room over the mains cables? TP-Link make a huge range of kit but are well known for powerline adapters.

If you are using powerline the set up should be plug in the first adapter to a wall socket near the hub and connect the two by an Ethernet cable in the garden room do the same with the second unit that contains the WiFi adapter.

Only use wall sockets for powerline kit as trailing adapters can either block the signal if they have built-in surge protectors and adding another connection reduces speeds. The adapters work in most but not all homes due to the way the home is wired and older adapters are less reliable than newer models that use all 3 wires rather than the 2 older systems use. Where connection is lost try unplugging tge two adapters and then setting them up again using the instructions thst came with your set up.
