I need help now!

Can’t play any game on my ps4 without lag, got the maximum plan yet I can’t get over 5mbps download and 1mbps upload (both at Kbps at times)

my router is downstairs and my PS4 is upstairs, nothing blocking the connection, I have a couple devices connected but not too much.

can you please fix this?

Re: I need help now!

I split my 2G and 5G and it seems to be better but still tiny lag, but I think the room I play my ps4 in is a black spot.

Hi @Siegeee What speed should you be getting?

If you post your router stats then someone can take a look for you, this shows you how.

Hi @Siegeee If you are trying to play games over WiFi then you may run into issues due to the possibility of WiFi interference. You could try changing the WiFi channel although the first thing to do would be to post your router stats for everyone to see as @Dazzasky has suggested

Re: I need help now!

Your connection looks okay so I suspect the lag you are experiencing is because of WiFi. You would need to connect the console via a cable direct to the router and see if you still experience the lag

Re: I need help now!

Possibly, you'll find that even if your router is sat next to your PS4 you can still experience the lag due to interference in WiFi signals.

Re: I need help now!

You could connect your router to a homeplug and then have a homeplug in the room where your ps4 is and then use a LAN connection/ethernet lead instead of wifi. It uses your homes electric cables to get the internet, wish I had found them years ago, the amount of holes I drilled in walls to get cables run everywhere.
