I moved my tv upstairs, I took the sky Q box with me, it isn’t connected to the satellite anymore,

I moved my tv upstairs, I took the sky Q box with me, it isn’t connected to the satellite anymore (just a temp thing while redecorating downstairs). I was able to watch the apps on tv using the sky box but it has now stopped completely. It says I need a satellite signal, but I don't want to sky channels, I just want to use the apps part and catch up (it has been working fine for around 2 weeks now but suddenly stopped today)

I believe Sky Q requires a satellite signal to verify the viewing card occasionally. It is not designed to be used without a satellite signal.
