I’m unable to insert the grey cable into phone socket

It seems phone socket has smaller chip than the cable. Can we break off the side clip and insert it again?

RJ11 won't fit a 'BT jack' (BS6312 431A) socket, if that's what you are trying to do.  If your wallbox faceplate only has BT jack then you'll need to obtain a microfilter.
