I'm trying to change my network speed to 2.5GHz

Hi, I have recently brought a device that I need to connect to the Internet but it won't connect unless the Internet is on 2.5GHz. Annoying!!

When I go through my phone setting on to WiFi I am able to click on something that says "manage router"  I click on this and it takes me to the sky sit and I have to click on "change network channel" when I do, I tells me to "sign in" which I proceed to type in my sky log in which then doesn't work. Does any one have any idea how I change the network speed so I connect my new device?

Thankyou in advance. 🤞🏻

@Lennyyy

Are you able to use a laptop or computer and connect to the Sky Hub via cable?
Trying the access the Hub's setting when using an iOS device ans safari doesn't seem to work. Using a different browser should yield better results.

 To split the WiFi bands, to do this simply follow this User Guide

WiFi frequency rather than 'network speed', but typically it's unsyncronizing the bands which does the trick.

Re: I'm trying to change my network speed to 2.5GHz

Best trick is to connect to the router from a PC on the IP address 192.168.0.1 with admin and your password. Look under Wi Fi and you will see the frequencies. 5 and 2.4. Some devices like Alexa plugs etc only connect at 2.4Ghz. You can create a new name for this frequency so you can force devices to connect to the 2.4 channel by selecting the different name. If you dont seperate the chanels by name you cant selecct that frequency.

Enjoy.
