I'm shocked that it will take three weeks to re-conect to sky because of a house move -why does it
I'm moving house and am shocked that we will have to wait 3 weeks for a re-connection at the new property .I don't understand why it should take this long.

The standard minimum lead in time that Openreach provide for new connections is 2 weeks so I'm afraid 3 weeks is not unusual. My son moved into a new build. He ordered Sky broadband on 23 November and it was activated on 17 December.
