I am have very slow speeds on my 35 superfast. Just reset my hub. Do I need to use the micro filter? I don't need the phone socket should I plug the purple straight in? Or use the micro filter? TIA

Microfilters serve two purposes: they physically adapt the socket type (BT jack to RJ11) and they isolate the broadband connection from potential RF interference picked up by in-premises phone extension cabling.
