I have no ONT box in new flat

I have received my sky hub today and open reach has said that I have been connected but I don't have an ONT in my flat just an open reach BT box for an ethernet cable. I have tried to talk to someone about this but I have only had a computer respond , how can I proceed?

@CatInAHat  Could you post a picture of this BT box?

@CatInAHat What sky package did you get, Full Fibre or partial fibre, speed of the package should say! If partial then you are connecting the sky Hub to a OR Master Phone socket with speeds off max 80/20 split!

@CatInAHat  That is a standarc master socket so the qustion from @JimM1  woukld need answering so was can work out if you should have an ONT.

Could you post the screenshot of the results from this page after entering your house number & postcoide, please blank out any address/cabinet data.  https://www.broadbandchecker.btwholesale.com/#/ADSL/AddressFeatureProduct  this will confirm if you have FTTP or FTTC

@CatInAHat While you are getting the other information together regarding what you have or not, that connection you are plugged into then the other end off the sky hub is the DSL purple plug connection very 1st on the left as you look at the back and is NOT a standard Ethernet connection that it looks like you have plugged into that BT Master socket!

@CatInAHat one possible explanation is the previous resident has taken the ONT with them which annoyingly does happen even though they are marked with a warning not to!

Nit suprisingly both Sky and Openreach expect the unit to be there. You need to call Sky and explain what has happenedcand they will arrange for Openreach to come out and replace the unit. When calling stay on the line do not engage with the bot beyond saying need to report a broadband issue.

Its worth looking to see if you can find wharectge ONT was there should be screw holes and a green fibre pigtail connector.
