I have Sky Broadband super fast but it has never provided the promised speeds.

My Sky broadband consistently runs at well under the promised speed. I have followed the troubleshooting steps but there is no improvement. I have checked the MTU settings and appear to be optimised at 1500. Does anyone have any suggestions or is it a call to to battle with customer support?
