I have ordered sky broadband to go with my tv package it was set to go live on the 15th however I do not have a master socket in my house as I was originally on Vodafone and have a different type of socket so not sure if I can plug my hub in

if you don't have a standard phone socket in your property you need to phone Sky and tell them. They will then be able to arrange for an OpenReach engineer to visit your property and install the socket.
please note OpenReach are independent of Sky so it could take several weeks to get an engineer visit.

To my knowledge Vodafone relies on the same Openreach network as Sky and most other providers, and use the same master phone socket. Perhaps you can post a picture of the socket and we'll be able to confirm.

Putting the address into the BT Wholesale Availability Checker should indicate which provisioning type is applicable.

thank you I will contact sky tomorrow! I believe the socket I have is from the city fibre Vodafone put in.
