I asked about Superfast broadband and going back into contract.

Does anyone else have this kind of problem?

I have just been chatting to someone regards getting superfast broadband in two month’s time when I move (not exchanged yet), as I am a VIP of 11 years with Sky I was given a price of £27 a month, online I am quoted £21. Forgive me if I’m wrong but this seems a little strange, I was expecting to get a better price than online, not a worse one.

I also stated if I get a good price for TV and internet I would go back into contract, not sure this was completely understood. I also have Sky mobile.

@myoysterSometimes the contact centre can't give you the online quoted price. If you have not got a date for moving then I would wait for a few weeks before hand and speak to the people moving out who their broadband provider is as a move or cease could stop either one of you being able to order broadband elsewhere.

Are you still in contract with your present provider and have not given notice yet?

@myoysterYou do lnow that if you already have Sky broadand and other services that you can do a home move with Sky and stay on the same amount for payment unless you are upgrading your broadband from superfast to ultrafast if it is available at the new property.

@myoyster

Sky often have deals online which the call centers don't/cant match. If you see a better price online then take it!

@myoyster

Some orders give you a date selection, some will automatically assign you a date approx 2 weeks after the inital order. You can always change this date once its been assigned.

@myoyster Take the date online, see if the sky will include by back of your existing other isp, with 2 months you should be no way near over the buy back cost's, the deal at £21 is just too good to miss, even if it overlaps!
