I Cant Log-In To My Sky Hub Admin page

Hi,

im trying to login to my Sky Hub SR-102 Admin page but when i type (192.168.0.1) it says it cant be reached!

can anyone help?

Are you using powerline adapters, wifi extenders or switches by any chance? It seems like a third party device on your network is causing the issue you see. In rare circumstances powerline adapters in your home can also get intertwined with a neighbours network of electrical wiring is poor.

Remove all Ethernet cables from the back of the router, keeping one to run directly to a PC if required, and unplug any other network devices.

Hard reset the router by holding in the reset button on the back for 10 seconds.

As already mentioned that router is pretty old and I would enquire about a replacement. However, if the root cause of your issue isn't found and resolved it's likely that it would carry across to any new routers installed.

and you can see that its connected to my Sky Hub at the bottom right of the picture

Have you changed the IP range of your Sky hub at all?

What is the default gateway IP listed when you type ipconfig into a command prompt window within Windows?

no i havent done anything to it

it says default gateway is ((192.168.1.1)) but when i type that in it comes up with experience os

That suggests another device on your network is issuing IP addresses.  A Sky Hub would not give a 192.168.1.1 gateway by default.

@lewlew92 if you still have a SR102 hub you really need to call Sky to get it replaced. The default address for Sky hub's is 192.168.0.1 but given its age the web server might have given up but a reboot might get it going again

What you need to do is disconnect all devices from your network and start connecting them 1 by 1 to figure out which device is giving out IP addresses.

i use a NETGEAR WN1000RP on it but ive never had any issues before on anything

@lewlew92 It looks like you have found the cause of your issue. I suspect if you unplug that you will be able to connect to the Sky hub GUI.

ive just hard reset it. i can now access the admin page but no internet connection,

ive tryed unplugging and plugging back in the ethernet cables and broadband cables and no nothing happened!

so what i did was contacted Sky earlier about this and they said they will come around and take a look,

it was super fast time they came (30 Mins) and they said ive got a faulty Hub. and now ive upgraded my Sky Subscription to 300MBPS

which should come on Monday. So it will come with a new Hub (its the Broadband Hub SR203) and should be working then (hopefully).

P.S They said i can keep the router 🙂 ill keep you updated on what happens next.
