How to turn off 5gh for a while to connect a device

We need to connect a washing machine but it won't connect to 5gh only 2.4 so how do we switch off temporarily? TIA

Seperate the wifi as below so you have 2 seperate wifi ssids and allocate the washing machine to the 2.4ghz band
