How to switch from EE to Sky Broadband.

Long story short my Father is currently paying for Broadband with EE and the price is getting ridiculous so he wants me to take over with another provider, I have chosen Sky.

I know Sky will contact EE on my behalf but how will that work? My Father is the one with the EE Broadband account and I will be the one with the Sky Broadband account, is it possible for me to sign up to Sky Broadband while giving them his EE information for the switch?

@AlexLee doubt you can switch ISsPs at the sametime as switching account holder. How it normally works is the account holder contacts the new provider and they handle the cancellation with the old provider which hapoens on the same day butvthe accoount holder name has to match..

I suspect the only way to manage both changes is your father to give notice to EE once that service  finishes you can order from Sky in your name butvthere is likely to be at least 14 days without a service. I know it sounds stupid but the system is not at all flexible.

Will EE allow a change in account holder - Sky dont allow that as it happens - so you can take on the old service without having to accept a new contract then switch to Sky?
