How to contact Sky helpline without a sky number

I am trying to talk to Sky but the helpine number doesn't work because I don't have a Sky number.

Any suggestions?

I called the contact number for sky (which it won't let me post of this forum)  then entered my landline on the keypad when prompted to use another number (it didn't recognise my mobile). This worked for me but I only had an automated response regarding a faulty phone exchange. Useless when you have a problem, but easy to contact when they want to sell you a service. Appalling from Sky, but have come to expect crap service from almost all multinational companies.
