How to check download speeds...

Gradually my internet speeds have decreased. It used to take about 20 mins to download a movie and now its beyond a joke... Tonight i started downloading at 6.30, we are nearly 45 mins later and its not even a quater the way through.

How do i check my internet speed and is there a way of correcting it?...

Ive complained twice over the past two weeks but havent heard back from Sky. Not what i expected from this company.

@Emae1 What are you downloading to at this point, and hopefully you are not doing much else to slow the download from happening!

Re: How to check download speeds...

@Emae1 Are you connected direct to the sky Hub with an Ethernet cable to the laptop, or doing it all via wireless wi-fi, also you have no idea if the Amazon Internet streaming service can supply at the required speeds.

Do not wish for you to mess with your download, but you do not even say what package speed you are on. You could try an independant speed test like below!

https://www.thinkbroadband.com/speedtesthttps://www.thinkbroadband.com/speedtest

or www.fast.com just allow that one few minutes to complete and then click to see ALL the results!
