How to change network name and password sky max hub
How do i change the wifi password and ssid?
Logged into the router (sky max hub) and there doesnt seem to be any user editable wifi settings as they are all greyed out and locked .
Sky online help says to use the my sky app with the following instructions:
- Open the My Sky app or download the my sky app to get started.
- Tap Product Settings on Home or the Broadband tab.
- Tap Sky Max Hub. Can't see this option? You might not have completed the hub setup. Follow the steps to finish setting up your sky max hub
Well I downloaded the my sky app and the sky max hub isnt listed under product settings and the link telling me to finish setting up the hub is a pointless 'plug the leads in' article and a link to the app i already have.
Pulling my hair out here, can someone tell me how to change the details please.

Unfortunately you have to wait until the appropriate controls populate in the My Sky app. There are very few useful options in the web server built into the Hub itself.

How do I get it to appear in the app?
Been using my old BT hub for the last few months but BT want the kit returned so only just started using the sky hub today and I just want to make the new hub use my old password so I don't have to set up WiFi again on all my devices

I have the same issue. Any idea how long this option takes to appear in the app?

In fact I've just managed to resolve this. You need to re-download the app. It appears straightaway. Then you can change the wifi name and password. Good luck. Glad I didn't sit and wait for it to update itself...?!

@Neskutz You are pushing multiple posting's answer's on your other, WPS hold 20 seconds plus on the sky Max hub restores it all back to the factory settings!

Re: How to change network name and password sky max hub
@Neskutz if you disable both WiFi bands any devices connected using WiFi will disconnect which makes turning it back on challenging if you dont have a device connected by ethernet. You can reset the hub as explained but you lose any custom settings. The web interface has functionality until Sky add the hub to your account when only limited settings are active. For full use of the hub it needs adding to thecapp, for example extender pods wont work.

Re: How to change network name and password sky max hub
that is what i thought, that after disabling will let me in a limbo 🙂 but i thought to ask just in case
the problem is that the account is in my landlord's name and is not easy to get the details of the accounts for login to MySky App, they asked me to do it myself so i thought the easiest and quickest way was to do it on the Web Browser as in the pevious hubs
anyways, will see how to get the MySky app going for them
thank you guys
