Connect an ethernet cable from the internet router or internal network distribution, then (ideally) switch off the WiFi on the Q box.  Note that this will prevent any Q Mini boxes working by WiFi.

1) Press the ‘Home’ button on your remote control.
2) Scroll down to highlight ‘Settings’ but DO NOTpress select.
3) Press ‘001’.
4) Press ‘Select’

Then: Network -

- 2.4Ghz wireless - Off

- 5Ghz wireless - Off

Sky Glass 55" (on ethernet) & two Stream Pucks (one ethernet / one WiFi)
BT Halo 3+ Ultrafast FTTP (500Mbs), BT Smart Hub 2

Thank you taking the time to answer,, just what I wanted. I'm assuming I need to do the same for my mini box.

Yes, as long as the Mini has an ethernet connection.

Re: How to Change from wifi to wired connection on my main Q box

Hi me again, I followed (most of your instructions) except I did not change the 2.4Ghz or 5Ghz to OFF.

(for some reason only known to me)!!! I thought it had all gone ok though. However, when I tried the code again at the settings screen NOTHING happen on any of the boxes.. My main Q box is still on WiFi and so are my other 2 mini boxes. However I can't make any changes using 001. Do you have any suggestions please? I have turned all the boxes off and my modem, but no joy.

Re: How to Change from wifi to wired connection on my main Q box

tried this, 2.4 and 5ghz is off yet box is still connecting to a neibours Sky network.

is there a different wifi setting for the sky box itself rather than perhaps the boosting capabilities?

Thanks
