How long of a delay until I can get temporary broadband
There's been multiple delays in getting broadband to the house I moved into. I can't get a straight answer out of anyone at sky when I call as they all just contradict themselves.
At what point can they get a temporary line activated on the existing copper line? I'm waiting for fibre, bought the house but engineer visits and no further along.
Is there a set amount of delay time that needs to pass to be able to get the copper line reactivated? So I atleast have some kind of broadband?

Re: How long of a delay until I can get temporary broadband
@B0red unfortunately there is no method to get a temporary copper connection it simply isnt something Openreach offer. Instead where delays occur which, while they only affect a small % of orders, do get reported frequently Openreach pay compensation of £6.10 per day for delayed commissioning via Sky. This link explains the scheme Customer Auto-Compensation | Sky Help | Sky.com
My own install suffered a delay and the compensation credit covered the first 6 months cost of the full fibre service.

Re: How long of a delay until I can get temporary broadband
With the ongoing move of the national network to fibre-optic there's no mechanism for ISPs to order copper circuits in areas where full fibre is (theoretically) available.
