How do I replace the sky Max Hub (White) or use my own router?

I noticed I cannot even split the wifi bands and the coverage is bad. There is continous drop outs in the living room however the hub is upstairs. How do I use my own router? Thanks

@WISK4321 The starting point is what do you have from sky, how is it connected currently, do you need a phone landline connected, and finally what do you wish to use!

@WISK4321 IF you require to keep an operating Landline Phone that is connected to the back off the Sky Max hub, then there is no choice but to keep sky Max, you may be eligible for pods if you have that on your account, extra £4 to £10 depending. So linked all about the max below!

@WISK4321 NO, if you keep the sky supplied phone you keep the Hub, if you do whatever and DO NOT keep the sky supplied phone then no need for the hub, REMOVE the sky phone then they will remove your Broadband line lock stock and barrel! The issue will be what you want as the primary landline number and will sky CS play and accomidate you!

All off topic now with your heading! And did look at your old archived post!

I  have tried boosters and extenders before they slow my internet down. When I was with Virgin media I never had this problem. Their hub has always been superior. Even on Sky superfast internet I had to use my own router since it only had two ethernet ports and had terrible wifi coverage. I might as well go back to virgin at this point. But now on sky ultra fastI can't.

@WISK4321 May have been a while since you did but have a look at what Asus mesh can do. Not a magic pill as FF500 is the pipe but NO slowdown internal.
